The Guide To Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards and Introduction to Graduate School and Graduate Funding contains information about special monetary awards in support of education or in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. The focus of this guide is prestigious fellowships, scholarships, and awards to support undergraduate and graduate study. Most of these awards are funded by private foundations or federal sources and involve a lengthy application process. Information on loan programs is not included. Information on applying to graduate school and an introduction to graduate funding are also included.
For several of the awards, an advisor, usually a faculty member, has been named to help students through the application process. If no name appears, students are urged to contact the granting agency or Janice McDonald, Harpur College Dean's Office (LN 2430). This guide is updated every summer by the Harpur Dean's Office.
