Career Development
Center (CDC)
The CDC provides resources and services designed around career exploration
and career success. The CDC has a robust library of career and industry-related
materials, along with electronic resources (including eRecruiting).
Center for Academic
Excellence
The Center for Academic Excellence is a tutoring and study skills program designed
to assist students from the various academic disciplines. The CAE offers tutoring
on a by-appointment basis, and during their posted walk-in hours. Tutoring occurs
at various locations around campuJune 11, 2008/p>
Counseling
Center
The Counseling Center "is committed to actively providing support and
assistance to students in their pursuit of personal growth, including the
strengthening
of their emotional, intellectual, behavioral, cultural, and spiritual development." The
Counseling Center's site features basic information about services, Counseling
Center sponsored programs, a list of carefully prepared reading material and
counseling brochures, and valuable links to other resources on and off campus.
Discovery
Program
Binghamton University's Discovery Program is designed to give students
a foundation for college and career success. The multi-year program
supported by various
centers on campus is designed to serve as a comprehensive support and instructional
tool. The Discovery program is home to tutoring and
the Discovery
Courses (Learning Communities).
Off Campus College (OCC)
The Off Campus College focuses on providing services to students living off campus, and providing for mobility within, and connectivity to the Binghamton local community. Because the Off Campus College works primarily with the communities the University is connected to, it serves a s a primary contact for internships in our community and beyond.
Office of International Programs (OIP)
The Office of International Programs provides advising to undergraduate and graduate students planning to study abroad and administers Binghamton's study abroad and international exchange programs, the International Studies Certificate Program (ISCP)
Residential
Life
Residential Life and the Discovery Center provide Discovery Assistants (DA's)
who are available to provide various types of student support in residence
halls. Also, each community has different programs and opportunities for
worth exploring.
