IMP Honors Option for Graduating Seniors
A candidate for IMP honors must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3.3 cumulative Binghamton GPA for all courses taken in the university, AND a 3.5 GPA for all courses taken in the major.
- Must be recommended for honors by the faculty sponsor.
- Must defend the honors project before a three-person committee chaired by the faculty sponsor, a member of the Individualized Major Program, and one other faculty person selected by the student.
- Must complete an honors project which represents work substantively in excess of that required by the integrative project.
- Application for honors is made in conjunction with the submission of the integrative project prospectus in the penultimate semester and must include the names of the two faculty members on the honors project committee.
