IMP Honors Option for Graduating Seniors
A candidate for IMP honors must satisfy the following requirements:
- Possess a minimum 3.3 cumulative Binghamton University GPA as well as a 3.5 GPA for all courses taken in the major.
- Be recommended for honors by the faculty sponsor.
- Defend the honors project before a three-person committee chaired by the faculty sponsor, a member of the Individualized Major Program, and one other faculty person selected by the student.
- Complete an honors project representing work substantively in excess of that normally required for the integrative project.
Application for IMP honors occurs in conjunction with the submission of the integrative project prospectus and must include the names of two faculty members to serve on the honors project committee. Approval of the integrative project proposal with honors option must take place by the end of the penultimate semester.
